ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3: A Fast Inheritor @ InsideHW

AMD’s 790GX chipset together with the ATI Radeon HD 3300 graphics card has been an excellent choice for those who wished for gaming in lower resolutions, couldn’t afford an expensive discreet graphics solution and wanted to experience all advantages the 790GX offered over the 780G. AMD hasn’t stopped there and presented the market with the 890GX chipset, which can be deemed the successor to the throne of the good old 790GX. The 890GX comes in combo with the SB850 southbridge, just like the 790GX was followed by the SB750…

G.Skill ECO Kit 4 GB PC3-12800U CL7-8-7 @ techPowerUp

G.Skill is offering a full range of P55 compatible memory kits, with the ECO being one of them. As the name implies, the memory aims to deliver the most performance while only requiring a mere 1.35V to run at 1600 MHz CL7-8-7.

Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H USB and SATA 3.0 Motherboard Review @ Hi Tech Legion

The Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H will showcase both the AMD 890GX Northbridge and 850 Southbridge chipsets. The Gigabyte 890 motherboard will utilize the native SATA 3.0 technology, as well as USB 3.0, which is the NEC USB 3.0 controller. It is also ATI CrossFire and Hybrid compatible with one PCI-e 2.0 X16 and one X8 slot. With its USB 3.0 controller, transfer rates of up to 5Gb/s can be achieved, making it up to 10x faster than USB 2.0. The native SATA 3 forgoes the Marvel controller (3^rd party) that we have seen on some Intel motherboards and has the potential of up to 6Gb/s transfer rates via the AMD 850 Southbridge chipset.

Asrock H55M Pro Socket 1156 Motherboard @ Pro-Clockers

The H55 is the newest thing to come from Intel. Not surprisingly, Asrock was right there to send out boards to all review sites. We have often seen this from the 'big' companies. The first of the boards released was the H55M Pro. As all H55 motherboards, the H55Pro-M is a micro ATX offering with dual 16x PCIe slots for Crossfire support, four DIMM slots and support for DDR3 2600. We definitely can't call Asrock a budget motherboard maker anymore. There are many more features the new board has to offer and we will discuss them as we look over it. Now, we really want to know how well it will overclock. We all want to get a little bit more out of the motherboard and processor to make it worth more for our money.

A Look at AMD's 890GX Chipset @ Techgage

With AMD's processor line-up as complete as it is, focus has been shifted a bit to the chipset department, and the result is the 890GX. Although it's packed with features, it's surprisingly inexpensive. In addition to introducing the Radeon HD 4290 IGP, it also brings native support for SATA 3.0, improved HD support and much more.

Radeon HD 5830: A New Best-Buy in Sight @ InsideHW

A bit later than expected, the third and final model from AMD’s current top-class offer, as far as single-GPU cards are concerned, arrived to our doorstep. As a reminder, Radeons HD 5850 and 5870 appeared way back at the end of September last year, being the first DirectX 11 cards on the market, but also the most powerful ones. The new HD 5830 is a bit late, but just on time to spoil Nvidia’s plans concerning the release of their first DirectX 11 models. This card’s attractive price point should make the choice easier for many, as those who thought that the previous DirectX 11 Radeons were too expensive now have a good reason to opt for AMD.

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Motherboard @ Benchmark Reviews

Sometimes Intel's tick-tock plans don't coincide with the technical improvements made to other areas, such as SuperSpeed USB-3.0 or SATA-III 6.0-Gbps controllers. Most hardware enthusiasts agree that it's awkward to see Intel's "Enthusiast" branded X58-Express chipset paired to older standards while "Mainstream" P55 motherboards enjoy the better and faster new ones. Gigabyte agrees, too, and has re-launched the X58A-series as a refresh for their flagship platform. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 motherboard against the ASUS P6X58D Premium in heat-to-head performance, and compares to the original X58 platform.

Asus P7P55D-E Premium motherboard review @ APH Networks

The sheer amount of writing in conjunction with the need of benchmarking (Which includes fresh installs of Windows every time, oh man!) is not only very time consuming, but also requires high levels of patience and effort. But things are a bit different this time around. After finishing my Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6 review last week, I simply could not contain the excitement I have for testing the latest and greatest motherboards based off Intel's P55 Express chipset for Lynnfield processors. This curiosity continued on, as I soon discovered that the only way to quench this thirst is to put the motherboards through our battery of benchmarks. So today, we'll be taking a look at the Asus P7P55D-E Premium -- Asus' high end P55 motherboard on this platform.

ASUS G51J 3D 15.6" Gaming Notebook @ Techgage

he term "3D" has been used quite a bit over the past couple of months, and as it stands today, there's a fair bit of content available to those with capable hardware. But on the mobile side of things, support is just beginning to creep in. The first available option was from ASUS, with its G51J 3D, and we're taking a look at it here.

MSI P55-GD85 USB and SATA 3.0 Motherboard Review @ Hi Tech Legion

Unlike some other manufacturers, MSI has chosen to use the built in PLX chip, specifically for Marvel and NEC, to provide for SATA and USB 3.0 performance. The PLX PCI-e bridge chip is specifically designed to increase (multiply) bandwidth and effectively distribute that bandwidth across the PCI-e lanes when using the 3.0 functions. Other manufacturers have chosen to forgo the PLX, which forces USB and SATA 3.0 to occupy the graphics PCI-e lanes causing a bottleneck and decreasing graphics performance.

AMD ATI Radeon 5830

While the Antialiasing is a little weaker at higher resolutions, the ATI 5830 card seems to be a pretty damn good card and fills the gap in the market nicely. Like many of ATI's cards lately though, it does seem a little overpriced for the performance and where it sits in the market. Still, AIB's have free reign on them, so we should some interesting designs, cooling and prices.
