Thanks to those here who educated me on the 20" vs 22" vs 24".
Replacing the monitor I had before, the image quality difference is very obvious. I've seen other 22" screens up close in stores, but was a bit concerned since I wasn't happy with the backlight bleeding with the display I checked out.
On the E228WFP, when the brightness is turned up to 100%, I can see slight backlight bleeding at the top and bottom, but it's much better than the other 22". Also I notice there's a black band in the middle, but when I turned brightness lower, it's so noticeable.
For the $299 I paid, I cannot complain at all. I know actual desktop real estate isn't better than a typical 20" widescreen, but it still fills up more of my "viewing range".
