Looking to get one but i don't want to pay a fortune. Can you guys recommend any?
Also, say if a TV has multiple inputs, and you got HTPC and DVD setup on different ones. Will I need to calibrate twice? This is a a Hitachi front projection, I think a S500.

If the TV is capable of being calibrated for different inputs, then yes, you can/should calibrate twice. If not, go with which ever is the most commonly used input that requires the best quality (e.g. for me, that would be HTPC).
Digital Video Essentials is my choice. I like how they fully explain everything it is you are doing and show you (as best they can) the difference. Naturally, once you've been thru it once or twice and know what your doing, you can skip directly to the tools section and just get on with it. They include colour filters with the DVD so you can match everything up as well.
Avia is the other one folks recomend, but I've not used it and only seen it flicked thru it at a friends house so I won't make a personal comment on it.
A quick note on the THX calibration stuff at the beginning of some DVD's. That calibration is basic, and optimised for the film on that DVD apparently, so each one would be different. It is of course, probably the cheapest way of doing things if you already have such a DVD.
