Video card dead?

I came home today and found no video on my screen. The computer is still on but I can't get a picture, even after reboots. I can hear beeps and my hard drive I think is spinning, but no picture. Any ideas?

If so, the PC won't even turn on.

I think if the video card died, you'd get beep codes. Is there another monitor you can try?
