4870

DriverHeaven have the Sapphire Radeon 4870 and Visiontek 4870 under review, testing Crossfire, HD Playback and of course Gaming performance.

Today’s review product, the Radeon HD 4870, goes some way to rectifying AMD’s hole in the market as it is priced to challenge the GTX 260. We will be running the products through a variety of tests including gaming at 2560x1600, CrossFire and high definition playback to find out which company is most deserving of your hard earned cash.

260 GTX

At the same price point as the 4870's is the ASUS ENGTX260 TOP 896MB. Nice card but I'd still rather have the AMD's I think.

With a nice factory overclock and some cammo decals, how does thet ASUS ENGTX260 TOP compare to its bigger brother the GTX280

Wind U100

No, not Wind UP, but Wind U100. As in MSI Wind U100. It's over at InsideHW.

Category of small cheap notebooks became very popular and there is no wonder why most of big brands want a piece of cake for themselves. But Asus got all of them off-guard. Because of that we've been waiting rather long for Eee's true rival. We've already mentioned MSI's agility which allowed them again to be first with new product on market. Their trump card wears name Wind and model that InsideHW had tested is MSI Wind U100.

780G

OCC have a mid performance testing time with the Sapphire PI-AM2RS780G.

Of the 780G motherboards we have tested at OCC, the Sapphire PI-AMRS780G's performance falls somewhere in the middle - posting strong scores in some benchmarks, and relatively weak scores in others. When paired with a discrete video card, the Sapphire motherboard's IGP in Hybrid CrossFire mode definitely boosts graphics performance, which makes it an ideal candidate for an HTPC or a family computer that will sometimes be used for casual gaming at low resolutions. For hard-core gamers, even pairing this motherboard with a powerful discrete video card will not help you break any 3DMark records. The debug LED is a nice touch - especially for people who constantly change hardware - because you will not have to guess what the problem is if you have any troubles. Another great feature of the Sapphire mainboard is the POST screen; being an enthusiast, I love being able to check system temps, voltages, and fan speeds on startup.

The ECS P43T Socket 775 Motherboard is at Pro-Clockers. Here is a little from their review.

If you take a budget chipset and mix it with a company like ECS you will get an incredible priced motherboard. In this case you will get the P43T-A2. The P43A is ECS's first P43 motherboard on the market. Even with all its short comings compared to the P45 this board offers the everyday Joe with everything they would need to build a stable and very complete system.
