...and if I may add... what are your dream speakers?
I am currently running Altec Lansing ACS45.1 Speakers. It's a 2.1 setup.
Nice sounding and nice bass too. But the sounds seems to concentrate in the space right in front of the satellites. It'll boom in my room but once i step out of my room the sound seems somewhat limited.
I am currently eyeing Klipsch Promedias 4.1 and 5.1. Personally I would love to have the 5.1s but they seem a bit too expensive.
Anyway, Klipsch speakers aren't available in Malaysia. Any of you guys have experience with Klipsch speakers?

Nice setup memphisto! I have the Klipsch 4.1 v1.2. v1.2 m,eaning the ones with a power button on the main sat. I first had the originals when there was no power button and no headphone jack, but i got down and dirty and I was so pissed that they came out wqith another version with these included, so i had to go out to best Buy, buy the new versions, and replace my sat. with the new main sat. hehe
OK, I know it's wrong. But c'mon man. As a Klipsch owner, you know how it is. They never suspected a thing. I feel bad for the poor sap who ended up purchasing those power buttonless bastards. Oh, by the way. I got my Klipsch's for $1. That's right, that was no typo. When I bought a Compaq several years ago for my gf, they were having an online promo offer. Buy the model presario that I was buying, and either get a free 4x Phillips CD/RW (I wouldn't get that because for $1, I'd be over-paying), or the Klipsch 4.1s. Since then, it's history. I'm thinking about selling them though for the 5.1s. Have you seen these? Those coupled with my upcoming SB Audigy Platinum EX would be one hell of an audio setup.

After just visiting Klipsch's website, loos like they took it a step further of being on top of all the other so-called "competition". Besides the great floor stands they now have available for the surround sattelites, or any sats for that matter. They now have a greenbacklit LCD 5.1 digital decoder available. And i'm really surprised at the price. Being that it's from Klipsch, I'd be expecting a prce tag greater than the current $169.99
tag it carries. But i'm not one to complain about low price. That's a nice x-mas gift right there.

I think I might be finally getting my self speakers from klipsh after all. But it will involve a 6 hour drive from where i live all the way down south to Singapore. You guys think i should go for the Promedia 5.1 or should I wait for the Logitech 5.1s (Logitech has not announced it yet but it is all over the Web.) ?

For god's sakes man. it shouldn't even be a question. Let logitech rule the pc peripheral world. They are in no way whatsoever on the same level as Klipsch. This is all Klipsch does, so trust me, they know their shit.
The Klipsch 5.1s are without a doubt the best PC speaker setup money can buy. Shit, come to think of it, they sound better than most people's home entertainment systems, and they're not even digital. But that could easily be fixed with the decoder, which really isn't necessary, being that without the decoder, they still beat the pants off of any digital set of PC speakers. Get the klipsch, you'll love yourself for it. But your neighbors will hate you for it. hehe
I'm actually thinking of selling my 4.1's. Satellites are all brand new. Shit, so is the SW. hehe

Dont beat yourself up bro. Those are decent speakers. Had the myself awhile back. Are they the ones that come with the floor stands for the rear sats? Mine did. Shit, klipsch charges amopst a buck for them. But still, Cambridge makes decent speakers, a little over priced when matcherd with the quality though.

I'm running NAD amplifiers with a 5.1 lashup of NHT 2.0 speakers in front. I forget what the NHT center and rears are. Can anyone recommend a nice 5.1 PC card?
