Bought the DVD, thought it was a decent flick. Now, someone explain to me... why are vampires scary again? After seeing how easy it is to kill one, it makes me wonder why they're so feared.
I also had a discussion with my sister, who's a big Anne Rice fan, and she insists on a one on one fight, Lestat would make Blade his bitch. I don't follow the Vampire Chronicles, and only know what I know about it from the two movies they made, but I refuse a fifi pretty boy vampire can beat Blade 1 vs 1.

Lets face it, Lestat is more of an artist, but Blade wouldn't give him a chance to do anything fancy, just stake the m0f0 there and then, no messing about.

Any of you guys like Neal Stephenson? I recently read "The Diamond Age" and the whole "overwhelming of ants" seemed to remind me of the whole idea of the "Queen of Ants" and that if you killed 1 ant, it was nothing to the queen, because she only knew of like 0 and 1 million.
Whatever, I think Neal Stephenson is a good writer. so NYEH.

i've just finished a neal stephenson marathon. snow crash was my favourite. diamond age was a little wierd at times but i got into it in the end. cryptonomicon is long (900 pages) but well worth it and zodiac is good too. i like that he hasn't tied himself to one genre.
also took his advice in the preface to zodiac and read a james crumley, the last good kiss. 70's crime fiction, really good.

I think that vampires are only easily killed by blade because he is a vampire hunter. Much like I would greatly fear Aliens from the movie Aliens, but Predators take em out by the thousands because thats just what they do.
