The results were surprising all around IMHO. The Intel 520 (clocked at 2.8GHz) outpaced the Athlon64 3000+ (clocked at 1.8GHz) in the CPU tests, however, notice that the Athlon makes good use of its DDR memory by outscoring the Intel DDR2 solution.

Sysmark tests using a multitude of everyday programs such as any user might use, and here the Winfast NF4 shows numbers we would expect.

Pleasantly impressed, the AMD outpaced the Intel by more than 3 seconds, very nice showing for a CPU with less of a clock.

I was so surprised at the results I not only ran this test 3 times, I rechecked everything I could think of and ran it another 3 times. An absolute dismal showing by the AMD64 here, either the AMD64 does not encode video well, or something in this motherboard is limiting it somewhere. Other TMPGEnc results tend to point to the motherboard.
