Things are pretty close across the board. The differences between both 975X boards are minute and interchangeable, but both trail slightly behind the 965.
PiFast
The MSI 975X literally runs away here by just over a second. This surprised us a bit since all the other Intel based boards were so close, but this was a reproducible gap between the boards.
CDeX
The results are fairly close between the boards, but the MSI 975X holds a clear 3 second lead over its closest competitor. The gap can widen though with a larger music file, so something to keep in mind.
TMPGEnc
Like the CDeX test, the results are close, but not as close as one may think considering a larger file can make the difference more apparent.
Photoshop CS2
The MSI 975X falls a little behind in this test, lagging 3 seconds behind the fastest board. It still keeps ahead of the 955X based board by a small margin though.
