1024x768 is the sweet spot for Doom 3 here. There
are far too many drops at 1280x1024 and it was quite noticeable
during gameplay.
Far Cry v1.3
The XFX 6600 beats both ATI parts here, though at
1280x1024 the differences are really wide. The AIW 2006 PCIE is
a vast improvement over their previous generation hardware though.

I dare say both resolutions weren't very kind to
the AIW 2006 PCIE, but between the two, 1024x768 was slightly
smoother despite the similar framerate averages. 1280 spent far
more time under 30fps than at 1024.
