MSI
RX2600XT Diamond OC Edition: MSI's latest appears to
be a great fit for HTPC purposes, but packs a decent left hook
in gaming. |

Keep
in mind that UT3 is running at a slightly lower resolution on
the 8600 GTS. That aside, the RX2600XT mostly stays above 30fps.
Keep in mind that UT3 is still a work in progress and we were
using a demo for the test.
Unreal
Tournament 3 - Image Quality
The
game's effects and overall gameplay is much improved in my opinion
over the previous version. The particle effects are especially
impressive and the game is certainly on my radar on launch.

COD4
is another highly anticipated game and despite the lower framerates
on the RX2600XT, the game was actually playable. However, we would
suggest dropping back to 1024 to 1280 for a better experience.
We play tested at 1024, and with 2xAA, we were maintaining 40fps
on average.
Bioshock

The
weather effects are nice and it's fairly engrossing when you leave
the body count on the high setting in the game options. Be prepared
to take a hit on performance though. Night vision was pretty cool
and there didn't seem to be any negative impact on performance.
