FarCry - No AA/AF
Not a game with the most intriguing of storylines, there's enough action is this ultra-violent shooter to keep those waiting for the next big thing happy. We used the which improves shader speed for GeForce FX based cards, along with other fixes. A manual run through the first level using FRAPS gives us our results.

FarCry is one of the most brutal games when it comes to video card performance. Neither card has an easy time with it, but obviously the Albatron FX5700P Turbo does fare better than the FX5600 Ultra.
Call of Duty @ 1024x768 - No AA/AF
The latest WWII shooter uses a heavily modified Quake 3 engine. We ran the benchmark using our own custom timedemo of our guys Scott and Brook trying to kill each other.

Like the other games we've seen here today, anything beyond 2xAA/8xAF is unplayable. At 1024x768, CoD was playable only with AA/AF disabled. It is possible to play with it enabled, but I wouldn't play the online mode.

Like FarCry, both card struggle quite a bit with NFS:U. We didn't even bother enabling AA/AF since the game is barely playable without it on. 1024x768 is the max I would go with the FX5700P Turbo.

Image quality for 3D games is very nice. To be honest though, there is little change, at least none we could detect, between the FX5700 and the FX5600.

2D quality was a little better as we were able to run at higher refresh rates than before given the Albatron FX5700P Turbos faster RAMDAC. The quality was acceptable for both cards, though we know that a factor to take into consideration in these tests is the monitor quality... and if you've been drinking the night before. ;)
