i got problem with sound card

hi every one

i got a problem with sound card i bought x-fi titanium champion series and i have xfx 780i sli motherboard ,while i am using gtx 260 card it covers pci express*1 slot what shall i do i installed 3d card in another it says cant work with pci*2 OR 3 SLOT WHILE USING NON SLI PLZZZZZZZZZZZ help me what shall i do

There is little you can do I'm afraid :(

If you wish to use that card, either the motherboard or the 260gtx will have to go. If that's (as I suspect) not an option, then the soundcard has to go in favour of a PCI sound card as opposed to a PCIe. There is no way around it I'm afraid as your components just simply won't physically fit together.

can i buy 750i sli motherboard

welll than for reply tell me something if i buy 750i sli motherboard will it work perfect everytinh that i got i mean ram, psu, processor etc what you sayi am sending you my specs see it then tell me ok.


1:xfx 780i sli (next 750i sli)

2:q6600 intel processor (shall do overclock to 3.0)

3:cooler master z600 cooling )

4:corsair 1066 bus speed ram 4gb (tell me about this will it work in 750i)

5:cooler master 700w ultimate psu

6:cooler master cm690

The chipset shouldn't affect the components of the PC (as long as the chipset is of the same family and generation, which the 750 and 780 are). Just remember to make sure that the x1 slots are far enough away from your x16 slot to get your soundcard in there.

Exactly as Goldaar says, it's not a case of your components not working together, they just don't physically fit because the PCIe x1 slot is too close to the PCIe 16x slot/because your graphics card has a dual slot cooling solution; delete as you find applicable.

The XFX 750i SLI looks to have the PCIe slot lower down the board so it should be fine.
