Does someone know how to unlock athlon Barton 2500 ?

Hi

All in the title. Is there a way to unlock by the bridges L......., etc ?????
or is CPwuid can do-it ?????

Barton Athlon XP 2500, 244 weeks of 2003

I saw this one. But no where, on the Web, they talk about my Amd. L3 and L1 are not cut. Only L5 and L12 have cuts. About L1 or L3, they must have put some reverse logic. Maybe we have to cut a bridge or more to have unlock the multiplier. Impossible to do that without a laser, i think

Hmmm, now this brings back old memories ...

If I recall correctly, back then there was a run of 'fake' 3200+'s which were infact 2500+'s/2800+'s with the L12 bridge cut.

L5 ... I think some folks used to fill that one to make them work in Dual CPU boards; a friend of mine (arQon of Quake III Arena CPMA fame, and now Quake Live) did that as I recall.

But as for unlocking yours ... I'm not sure ;(
