Favorite Genre

In the midst of all these $500 video cards, I guess the question is, what do you play?

I play mainly mmorpg's and when the server dies.. fps such as quake and unreal tourney

I've never owned a top of the line video card, and honestly never felt the need to. I'm not a hardcore gamer so the mid range cards usually suit me fine. I'm no good at MP first person shooters (even tho I like playing them) so a few frames per second extra doesn't make much difference to me. I play WOW, fear, some BF2 and that's about it. The midranged cards work fine for me at the resolutions I play.

I used to be a serious gamer, but I slowed down on that due to the cost of new hardware. I voted for RTS though as I'll always play those.

FPS all the way here. I've dabbled in RTS and RPG, but for me, FPS lights my wick :p

Adventure just doesn't seem like a fair genre, as that genre in itself encompasses quite a few genres. I would think that Adventure and RPG would take up two different categories, as their are tons of adventure games (tomb raider) and tons of RPG games (WoW, Guild Wars) that people play.

FPS FTW... Quake/2/3 QuakeWars? Doom (orig) DukeNukem Wolfenstien.... hrmmm, maybe iD should have a category all its own

At the moment I'm into the Adventure games, mainly WoW. 2nd place for me is FPS games, mainly BF2. I'll definatley look into QuakeWars when it comes out though, the trailers and screenshots look really good.

FPS's for the win. RTCW, Halo, UT06, DoD, HL2...so much greatness.

Used to be a WoW addict, but I broke the habit (without even detox!). Used to like Morrowind but Oblivion sucked.

RTS's are probably my second- fav atm, Rome Total War and Medieval 2 Total War are, and look to be sweet.

I voted sports. I'm pretty much a Madden junkie and I just picked up the latest. Even on my so-so hardware, it still plays pretty well.
