Left 4 Dead 2 – DirectX 9

Settings: 1600x900, 2xMSAA, 8xAF, Shaders = Very High, Effects = Med, Models = High, Paged Pool Mem = High

In Left 4 Dead 2, the last thing you need is a low frame rates when you're rushed by the horde, although you can get away with it some of the time. We couldn't quite run at 1080p and had to drop down to 1600x900, but we were able to run with nearly all graphic options to maxiumum and even a little MSAA.

Batman: Arkham Asylum – DirectX 9

Settings: 1600x900, 0xMSAA, Details = Very High, All options On, Physx Off

Here, the GT240 took the lead on paper, although it did also put in the lowest frame rate drop. The HIS HD 5570 Silence 512MB still played very well, and in a blind taste test, you'd have to play for a good few minutes before you could definetively tell which card was which for performance.
