The Competition
What will we compare this stick of RAM to? How about a generic stick of non-JEDEC specified PC2700 RAM. I bought this stick of RAM about a month before the official JEDEC standard for PC2700 was released, so this memory is basically overclocked PC2100 RAM.

The actual memory found on this stick of 256MB RAM is made by Nanya, with a part number of NT5DS16M8AT-6 (). This memory has a maximum setting of CAS 2.5 at 166MHz, which puts it at the same settings as the Micron chips in the Corsair memory. Does this mean they will perform the same? Before we look at which stick of memory is a better overclocker, lets look at the system that these sticks of RAM will be tested on.
