File Transfers – Reads

Time in Seconds.Millseconds
For multiple small files, there isn't much between all the drives tested, but a single large file transfer produces a larger gap. Again the SSD is way out in front, but the Momentus XT is much closer to the SSD than it is the mechanical WD drive.
File Transfers – Writes

Time in Seconds.Millseconds
The Momentus XT excels when it comes to writes, likely due to it's large 32MB cache. The SSD, as is typical, suffers especially when it comes to multiple small files. The M10 SSD does better with a single large file but this test has a clear winner; the Momentus XT.
