MSI NX6800GT-T2D256E: While not NVIDIA's top offering, it's still plenty fast. Pair two of them together, it'll cut through games like a hot knife on butter. |

Far Cry performs a little better with the ATI cards than they do with the NVIDIA cards. Despite SLI mode not being able to keep up with the X800XT, both setups felt the same during the game. A single NX6800GT was very playable, but it did slow down noticeably during the opening courtyard battle on the Rebellion map.

SLI has little effect in UT2004 which isn't a surprise since the game isn't currently supported but what is surprising is how well the NX6800GT does against a card that is close to $100 more (provided you can find a Platinum Edition).

Half-Life 2 performance gets a nice kick when running in SLI mode, but still trails a single X850XT Platinum by a hair. The game was still playable with a single NX6800GT, more so than it was under Far Cry.
