AMD 6450, 6570 and 6670
Due to manufacturing problems, AMD couldn’t switch to the smaller manufacturing process they wanted this time around, and so they decided to use the last generation mid range card, the 5770, as this generations bottom end. To ensure folks didn’t just assume that a 6770 was a replacement for the 5770, they bumped the numbers up a notch and gave us the 6870 for mid range, and used the 69xx for the high end. Today we AMD finishes their 6xxx lineup with the 6450, the 6570 and the 6670 to go with the previously released 6790.
