The results from this test are a little misleading. That’s not to say they are inaccurate but rather the test doesn’t cater to the Momentus XT’s strengths. Still, it does put in some rather nice numbers none the less and goes to show that even the mechanical portion of the drive is pretty quick.
PC Mark Vantage – HDD Suite
This test, while also synthetic, is more favorable to the Momentus XT. You can see that the WD drive puts in a decent enough score, but the Momentus XT and the M10 SSD surge ahead. The Momentus XT isn’t that far behind the M10 SSD which is nice to see. One thing to note here, for the first run, the Momentus XT was only slightly above the WD drive; after the second run, all following tests showed an average of 6406 points.
