To give things a bit of a shake-up, Gigabyte decided to release their G1 sniper loose at the Z68 platform and came up with the G1.Sniper 2, which from the off looks simply amazing and gives some very unique features that other boards simply don't have in terms of audio and Gigabit LAN connectivity. Eagerly been waiting to get our hands on this, we're keen to see if it does break the mould and offer something more, or if it's just another board, similar to the rest, but with some added lights and some funky colours.

The Z68ITX-B-E is one of two LGA1155 motherboard offerings from Zotac that feature the Intel Z68 chipset in a mini-ITX form factor. The Z68ITX-B-E WiFi Supreme can make use of either the integrated graphics on the 2nd generation Intel processors or the on-board NVIDIA GT 430 graphics chip for display output. Since it has an Intel Z68 chipset, the Zotac Z68ITX WiFi Supreme motherboard is also capable of using Intel's SSD caching technology and Lucid's Virtu graphic switching technology. For optimal graphics flexibility at a minimal form-factor, the Zotac Z68ITX-B-E WiFi Supreme motherboard is available for 219.99 USD and comes with a 2-year extended warranty.

For users which are not pretentious, the A75M FM1 motherboard from Foxconn represents a solution to consider, in case we want to get the benefits of the Lynx platform, like the powerful IGP or the quad core APUs. For making this board even more attractive, the Dual Graphics feature should be enabled, along with the ability to be able to modify the memory speed and its timings.

Over the course of the last 4 years ASRock has matured into a company capable of providing some of the best constructed and fully equipped motherboards on the market. The ASRock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3 Intel Motherboard is packed full of performance and functionality to enable high-power computing and to fully unleash the potential of the latest processors, video cards, storage, and, power efficiency technologies.

NVIDIA resurrected their GeForce LAN event recently to much success. With hundreds of gamers gathered aboard the USS Hornet, NVIDIA as well as some of other major players in the hardware industry organized a 3-days of fun and hard core gaming. DICE was also on deck to show off the biggest game title release this year: Battlefield 3. Lucky players not only got to play the game, but also participate in a LAN tournament as well for some sweet, sweet prizes. Attending the event, is our very own Editor-in-Chief Paul Marini Jr. who, armed with an HD camera, covered all things that were important: games, hardware and of course…booth babes!
