Whether you use Windows Media Center or ATI's Multimedia Center, you'll be able to record and pause live TV. This to us is one of the best features of PVRs and something we're certain anyone will agree with. Once the card is installed and all drivers are in place, the AIW HD will appear as an ATSC tuner in your media center.
A word of note to Canadian readers and users of Microsoft Media Center. Whether you use MCE 2005 or Vista, Microsoft does not recognize Canada (at least Ontario and Quebec) as having ATSC broadcasting. What this means is if you put in a Canadian postal code, MCE will not see an ATSC tuner installed. There are workarounds, such as entering a US zip code and modifying the registry, but this is something we can only hope Microsoft addresses in Windows 7. That or perhaps a patch in 2011

The AIW HD CD contents includes the Catalyst Media Center. The media center included works well enough if you're using the card strictly as some sort of desktop tuner. It's less effective as a true media center replacement for a HTPC, mostly due to a lack of supported remote being included.
Otherwise, almost every key multimedia type of function is included in the CatalystMC. Unlike the MS Media Center issues I had with Canadian HD, the CatalystMC picked up the channels available in my area without any issues. The included media center also includes launch pads for DVD playback, radio as well as any videos you may have stored on your PC.
Ultimate Image Quality – Performance that rivals high end Blu-ray and HD-DVD players on displays with resolutions that exceed 1080p – up scale to 2560x1600.
If you do not have a Blu-ray player in your PC, the All-In-Wonder HD can upscale your regular DVD's to near HD resolution. In practice, this was fairly accurate, but how good it will look will also depend greatly on your screen. As our TV and monitor cannot reach 2560x1600, we will not be able to max out the resolution.
Integrated Digital Outputs – Enjoy all your digital content the way you want to, with built-in HDMI with 5.1 digital surround sound and dual-link DVI and DVI to VGA adapter.
There are no shortages for input and output options. On the main card, we have both DVI and HDMI output. The HDMI connection supports 5.1 surround as well as HDCP. The cable connection is there for your television signal and for the testing later on, we plugged a DB8 antenna for OTA ATSC.

ATI All-in-Wonder™ HD Accessory Kit - Upgrade your PC with the ATI All-in-Wonder™ HD accessory kit the perfect addition to your ATI All-in-Wonder™ HD providing connectivity for a wide variety of HD TVs and other displays (may be sold separately).
Depending on the board vendor, there may be an AV daughter card included. This card has connections for additional analog connections such as s-video, component and composite cables.

Above is a shot of the pins you'll plug the daughter card into.
