Many readers looking at this review today will already have a performance gaming system and others will be contemplating a second system, hooked into a new high definition television for light gaming and media demands. To specifically target this sector AMD are releasing a very low cost Direct X 11 solution – the HD6450. This not only will cover media and light gaming duties, but can actually be used for multiple screen gaming.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 6790 sits in that entry gamer market. The Radeon 6790 looks to edge out the competition with increased performance. It features a 840MHz core clock, 1050MHz memory clock, 800 Stream processors, and 40 texture units. Onboard there is 1GB of DDR5 memory with a 256-bit interface.

PowerColor’s new HD 6870 PCS++ comes with massively increased clocks out of the box which makes it roughly as fast as GTX 560 Ti or HD 6950. With a reasonable price increase of only $10 over the reference design, the card does not break the bank either, it is actually a worthy opponent to NVIDIA’s GTX 560 Ti considering price/performance.

As of late, hardware has become less expensive and more efficient and so it should with more competition than ever, more brands want to be top of the food chain as it were. There are some users including the gamers and enthusiasts with cash burning a hole in their pockets that will lead them to a high-end board such as the
ASUS Crosshair collection or Gigabyte UD7 motherboards but the majority of users won’t believe in paying these top prices for features they will most likely not use. Thankfully motherboard manufacturer’s don’t just focus on the high-end market, but also on the mainstream market as well. This doesn’t mean that the components are of any lesser quality, but instead it supplies the user with everything they need, and
nothing that they don’t. Well the folks over at Elite Computer Systems have decided to ship us one of their
motherboards. The ECS A785GM-M Socket AM3 motherboard. While most of you may remark that this board is kind of old and outdated by the newest AMD 8xx series boards, it still has something to give for the budget user.

This review is going to explore the capabilities of the Kingston Hyper X T1 Performance series of RAM. This specific kit was designed to match the Gigabyte G1 Killer Series motherboard, however, its design, color and performance makes it a great grab for any enthusiast and a great addition to any motherboard. This kit is 12GB in size and runs at timings of 9-9-9-27, however, one can definitely obtain some great results by pushing the timings lower through overclocking. Aside from the abundance of RAM capacity, these modules are very
aesthetically pleasing with larger heat spreaders that serve the purpose of functionality as much they do appearance.

Nvidia’s GTX590 has been launched to a mixed reception and with the array of VRM hardware related issues many people are turning their attention to the GTX580, which could still be Nvidia’s finest hour. Many 580′s have won KitGuru’s highest awards and rightly so because this solution still remains the fastest single GPU graphics card on the market. We recently reviewed the Zotac GTX580 AMP! and felt that while it was a great card that the price point was all wrong, especially as it included a reference nVidia cooler. Today we look at the GTX 580 AMP²! which is supplied with a custom, dual fan cooler.
