The OCZ Revo 3 x2 PCIe SSD enters the consumer market as the fastest consumer available storage solution by a land slide. OCZ specifications list high sequential performance as 1.5GB/s read, 1.25GB/s write and capable of 200, 000 IOPS at 4k random write disk access. Coincidentally, this is also the first consumer targeted product that brings us out of megabyte per second speeds and into the realm of gigabytes per second.

The Z68 Pro3 M is an abridged version of the Pro3. Bother motherboards offers four DIMM slots, a single PCIe x16 slot, RAID support and amongst of common features. But the Pro3 M shaved off some weight and size. The Pro3 M is a mATX board that also offers what the Z68 is known for and that is Lucid’s Virtu video support and Intel’s Smart Response technology. The Z68 chipset in a microATX form could be the beginning of an ultimate HTPC system.

OCZ has always been at the top of the list when it comes to solid state drive development. A little while ago we took at look at their first SATA 6GB/s drive the Vertex 3. This drive had blazing fast speeds and is considered an enthusiast or even business-level product. OCZ has brought their ever-popular Agility series solid state drive to the SATA 6GB/s standard. The Agility 3 is based on the SandForce SF-2281 controller and boasts read speeds of up to 525MB/s and write speeds up to 500MB/s. Let’s check out this drive and see how it stacks up to the Vertex 3 and other similar drives.

Sapphire’s HD 6450 comes with a low-profile design, passive heatsink and native full-size HDMI. Together with AMD’s UVD 3 video encode acceleration that provides excellent video decode capabilities this could well be your next HTPC card.

Earlier today DHL came and delivered Gigabyte’s newest motherboard on the market; the A75M-UD2H which supports the latest new Llano APU’s from AMD. Whilst AMD have an NDA in place forbidding us to divulge any information on the APU or its performance we were able to take a first look at the motherboard and its main features that it includes. We would normally produce a lengthy plot of text and pictures in this space but have decided to show you in the form of a high definition video instead. The next couple of days will see us showing the performance of the board and APU together.

There weren’t a whole lot of different motherboards to see during my visit but I did get to check out the new Pure Platinum Z68, the Pure Black 990FX and the Pure Black X79. By the looks of it all of the designs are complete and ready to go, minus a few heatsinks.

On the lookout for a higher-end graphics card, but value both temperatures and acoustics? MSI, with its Radeon HD 6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition (*phew*) may have just what you’re looking for. In our tests, it often settled right beside more expensive offerings, and where acoustics and temperatures are concerned, it can’t be beat.
